Post a solid increase in Q1 GDP, abatement certainly seems to be the more recent theme in the local data. However, for the most part this appears mostly a case of optimism getting real. The NZ economy simply couldn’t cope with growth of 5-6%. 4% will be quite enough, thanks very much. That’s being realistic.
