NBP’s Belka does not rule out deflation
The Central European currencies slightly strengthened against the euro on Wednesday. The forint and the zloty led gains as usual while the koruna edged only slightly higher. Regional assets have been supported by European Central Bank´s notification on May 7th of another round of monetary easing in the making. The impact of the ECB “commitment” is particularly visible on government bond yields, which dropped significantly since then.
