We realise that many will probably see this week’s Barfootand Thompson housing report as the big economic newsof the week. Covering the month of November, it hasmore chance of showing some impact from the 1 OctoberLVR restrictions, than did its results for October. Thepotential for negative news from the housing market isclearly there. However, there is, as yet, no hard evidenceof a collapsing housing market, as had been the abjectfear from the LVR policy.
