Czech early elections (scheduled for this weekend) should become the top regional eye-catcher in upcoming hours. Predicting its outcome and implications for future policies is, however, quite tricky. Leaving aside estimating the impact of the post-election government coalition on economic policy, one must take into account the fact that preferences for major parties are volatile and public support for several smaller parties’ hovers around the 5% threshold required for entry into Parliament.
