EUR and GBP were both stable during the Asian morning at 1.1365 and 1.5013, respectively, slightly above overnight lows following the ECB QE announcement. Similarly, AUD was also steady at 0.8024, while the NZD gained a little to 0.7515. USDJPY fell ~40pips from morning highs to 118.38, as USDKRW fell similarly towards 1083. EM Asia currencies broadly gained against the dollar – INR appreciated 0.5%, MYR appreciated 0.3%, and IDR appreciated 0.3%. However, CNH was slightly weaker, at 6.2280. The PBoC fixed USDCNY 95 pips higher at 6.1342.
