EUR/USD Analysis

An unsurprisingly quiet Easter Monday session for EUR/USD this morning in Asia, after the pair opened at $1.3816 earlier. It marked a brief rise to $1.3818 soon after the open and was then held between that and $1.3810 in the early hours of the session. Braoder dollar gains around mid-morning pushed euro-dollar down to a $1.3805 low before it marked a small recovery. Euro-dollar was last at $1.3815 and remains capped at the $1.3822 level which also capped last week ahead of the Good Friday holiday. Ahead, close above the $1.3822-34 region would ease the current bearish outlook, while a close above $1.3865 would put bulls back in control. Euro-dollar however continues to hold above the $1.3780-96 support region with the 21-day also noted at $1.3780. Aclose below $1.3780 would confirm a break of the 21-day and see the focus shift lower to the layers of support in the $1.3673-1.3737 region.
