EUR/USD Analysis

The pair started at $1.3821 this morning in Asia following a $1.3808 to $1.3863 range in the US last night. Euro-dollar traded between $1.3816 and $1.3820 in the early hours of the session as the market eyed developments in Ukraine. The pair retreated to a fresh morning low of $1.3813 soon after euro-yen also weakened to its session low in line with other yen crosses. Euro-dollar managed a bounce off that low after that, and was carriedup to a $1.3821 high before running out of steam again. The pair was last at $1.3815, not very much changed from where it had started the day today with a quiet session expected later as the market already starts to look ahead to the Easter long weekend. A break above last night’s $1.3832 US session high is expected to open a path up for a move to the European high of $1.3863, while sellers are then seen above that from around $1.3880/90.
