The USD was largely steady against majors but strengthened further against EM Asia FX. EUR was essentially unchanged at 1.364. AUD attempted a small rally to 0.888 before retracing to 0.887. USDJPY broke yesterday high towards104.46, largely unaffected by the BoJ’s status quo. In EM Asia, IDR underperformed, weakening 0.3% to 12250. USDTWD bounced sharply higher to 29.908, while USDKRW rose for a second day to 1062.8. The INR weakened 0.2% on the open to 62.28. The PBoC fixed USDCNY higher for a second session to 6.1196.
