EUR/USD Analysis

The pair started in Asia around $1.3185. Early market action saw the pair shuffling near the $1.3183 lows before it attempted to move higher as the USD weakened. Gains were initially capped at $1.3200 as the single currency failed to pick up enough momentum to carry it higher. The pair eventually broke through but scattered supply above $1.3200 right up to $1.32448/50 hampered any follow-through action, with the pair only getting as high as $1.3207. Euro-dollar was last at $1.3198. Rumored demand from $1.3175/70 appear to be keeping the pair afloat but further gains would need the additional lift from a trigger of $1.3220/25 stops, dealers say.
