EUR/USD Analysis

The pair ended trade session around $1.3067 on Friday and opened in the Asian timezone with a mild rise to $1.3085 on early covering of short positions. The pair drifted back down after that, touching a $1.3053 low and then recovering again to $1.3075 as aussie-dollar jumped after the release of Chinese GDP data. Again, the gains tapered off as interest to take fresh euro-dollar positions waned amid a lack of fresh market developments. Euro-dollar was at $1.3068 ahead of the start of the European session, with the market keeping an eye on news concerning peripheral euro-zone economies, especially with no major European data on tap.
