The pair opened this morning’s session at $1.2838 after it traded a high of $1.2887 overnight in the US due to the sharp US dollar losses. Euro-dollar continued to pull back in early dealings while the US dollar reversed some of the overnight falls, trading a morning low of $1.2809. That low however held the euro’s retreat, and euro-dollar then stayed between that low and $1.2825 for the next few hours as Asian accounts were spotted offloading the single currency on any move higher. It picked up some upward momentum after that and euro-dollar crept up to a $1.2845 high before turning lower again in the late morning. Euro-dollar then gradually lost ground and slipped back to lasttrade at $1.2816. Up ahead, reported sellers are noted at $1.2880 and toward $1.2900, the latter region also containing a decent option expiry.
