A light data calendar again. Focus will continue to be on polls in connection with the independence vote in Scotland next week and the sustainability of the ceasefire ineastern Ukraine.
In the euro area the final German and French CPIs are unlikely to generate muchexcitement. In the US keep an eye on the weekly initial unemployment claims thatat current levels around 300K suggest a strong labour market.
ECB president Mario Draghi will speak about ‘achieving an effective economic andmonetary union’ in connection with the Eurofi Forum on ‘re-launching growth in theEU’. Draghi’s subject probably means that he will focus on institutional issues andhave little to say about technical issues in the ECB’s ABS and covered bondprogramme.
In Scandinavia, focus will be on Swedish CPI and employment data.
