The USD gave back some of its recent gains against the majors today.AUDUSD rose to 0.9359, boosted by stronger-than-expected private capitalspending plans in the Australian government’s latest survey. EURUSD rallied to1.3214 and USDJPY dipped to 103.70. Most EM Asia currencies openedstronger against the dollar, but not all have held onto strength. USDKRW fell to1013.23 where it ran into official support, USDTWD fell to 29.885, USDINRdropped at the open to 60.3688, and USDCNH slipped to 6.1441, helped by a20pip fall in the fix to 6.1638. However, the MYR, PHP, and IDR have given upearly gains to trade flat.
