EUR/USD Analysis

The pair traded a fresh low for 2014 so far of $1.3242 during yesterday’s Asian session but regained some composure during the overnight sessions in Europe and the US, before ending at $1.3281 in New York. With hardly any major news out this morning and will attentions squarely on the Fed’s Jackson Hole symposium and Fed chair Yellen’s speech, there was little interest in the euro during the Asia-Pacific hours today. Euro-dollar slipped early to $1.3274 but picked up minor demand, which contained the losses. The pair then recovered gradually through the rest of the morning, and regained the $1.3280 mark. The pair was last at $1.3282 after topping out at $1.3285. Layers ofresistance remain in the $1.3298-$1.3381 region while stops are noted above $1.3300, $1.3350, $1.3390 and $1.3400 today and on the downside below $1.3240
