The pair opened at $1.3401 this morning, after it ended Friday’s US session at $1.3410 and well below that day’s $1.3433 high. Euro-dollar spent a lackluster early hours this morning traversing a narrow $1.3400 to $1.3415 range and that range tightened up further to between $1.3400 and $1.3410 after Asian markets were fully opened. The pair was holding at $1.3409 when it was dragged down by euro-yen selling, the cross sliding to a Y136.75 after opening at Y136.82, while euro-dollar extended the morning low to $1.3398. Euro-yen recovered a bit to Y136.88 and helped euro-dollar back up to $1.3402. Euro-dollar was last at $1.3401 with offers seen in place at $1.3435 with stopsthen noted $1.3450, $1.3500 and $1.3520.
