Although EURUSD weakened slightly to 1.3528, AUDUSD rose a bit to 0.9359 from its overnight lows and USDJPY fell to 101.55. The dollar also generally softened against most EM Asia currencies. USDMYR dipped to 3.184, USDIDR edged down to 11,658, USDSGD is lower at 1.2419, and USDPHP fell to 43.565. USDKRW fell to 1026 before comments from Korea’s finance minister in parliament signalling interest rate cuts seemed to push it up to its open of 1031.32. USDCNY fixed 29pips higher to 6.1564.
