Aussie started this morning at $0.9347 after yesterday’s losses extended to a low of $0.9327 seen during the US hours. The aussie dropped briefly to a $0.9344 low early this morning but has since been trading above that. Gains in regional stocks have helped aussie fend off further weakness, with aussie-dollar hitting $0.9355 soon after Japanese stocks opened. There, the aussie stumbled a bit, drifting back to the morning low but came back stronger after that. It traded up to a $0.9364 high in the early afternoon as traders took profit on their US dollar positions and squared up ahead of today’s US Independence Day holiday and as the weekend neared in Asia. Aussie-dollar was last at $0.9360. Bids are seen from just below the overnight’s US jobs datareaction low of $0.9327, from $0.9320, with the June 18 low of $0.9322 also seen as key support, and stops noted on a break below $0.9320.
