The Nikkei fell 0.7% while S&P futures are off just under 0.4% and the US 10yr Treasury yield is down a bit over 1bp to 2.584%, close to its New York lows. The Hang Seng and Kospi are down marginally and China’s equity markets are up about 0.2%.The yen was the main mover in the G10, rising to 101.76 to the dollar, even as AUDUSD and EURUSD were stable at 0.9402 and 1.3542 respectively. Most EM Asia currencies weakened with USDKRW rising to 1019.4, USDMYR up to 3.223 and USDIDR and USDINR rising to 11,819 and 59.9837 respectively. USDCNY fixed 34 pips higher to 6.1537.
