EUR/USD Analysis

The pair traded between $1.3590 and $1.3630 last night in the US before it opened near the low end of that range at $1.3591. Early trades saw euro-dollar stuck in the sub-$1.3600 region as the pair struggled to generate any kind of meaningful trading interest in Asia this morning. The pair began to edge slowly higher from around mid-morning, thanks to the broader US dollar weakness and as euro-yen also started to pick up some strength. Euro-dollar topped out at $1.3610 in the late morning here, before easing a few notches back to $1.3605. The pair was last at $1.3606, with the 200-day moving average at $1.3641 continuing to cap the pair. Resistance is noted on the hourly time frame at $1.3612 and $1.3638. Small stops are noted above $1.3620 and also above$1.3640.
