We have a very light data calendar with only secondary data releases scheduled. InEurope both the UK and Italy will release industrial production for March. Ingeneral industrial production data for March released so far have disappointed.Germany will also release foreign trade data for March this morning.
A couple of speeches on the agenda today: ECB’s Liikanen is scheduled to speak at14:40 CET in Helsinki and he might throw some light on ECB’s deliberations and thestrength of Draghi’s ‘promise’ of a rate cut in June in connection with his pressbriefing yesterday. In the US Fed’s super hawk Fisher will speak this evening.Although he is a voter this year, his views are usually less interesting because they arefar from the consensus on FOMC.
Denmark will release March Balance of Payment figures and Norway will haveCPI figures out.
