The pair opened at $1.3860 this morning in the Asia-Pacific following an unexciting overnight session, which saw the single currency marking a $1.3834 to $1.3877 range during the US hours. Initial trades saw euro-dollar lose ground again, slipping to $1.3852 as euro-yen sank on anticipation of a poor opening of Japanese stock markets. But as euro-yen recovered after that, euro-dollar also followed suit, hitting a rebound high of $1.3865 just as the cross also marked its session high. Euro-dollar lost momentum after that and dropped back to the initial lows as the market turned away from testing reportedsellers at $1.3890 to $1.3900. Euro-dollar was last at $1.3857 ahead of the start of the European day.
