The dollar has nudged stronger in Asia. USDJPY is up at 102.37 and AUDUSD is a bit lower at 0.8750. EURUSD has chopped around 1.3486 for most of the Asian morning. EM Asia FX opened softer led a 0.3% rise in USDIDR to 12,235 and a 0.2% move up in USDKRW to 1083.75. However, the IDR regained most of its losses to trade at 12,223 after better than expected trade and inflaiton data. The THB has stood out for rallying 0.4% to 32.905 in response to weekend elections proving more peaceful than feared, even if they have not yielded a new government. Yields in the few Asian markets that traded today were generally slighly lower.
