Markets are closed for the lunar new year holiday in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Korea. Elsewhere, sentiment remained generally weak despite the stronger US equity performance in NY trading. S&P futures are down 0.5%, the Nikkei is off 1% from yesterday’s close, while Australia’s and India’s stocks are flat. Currency price action was generally muted, with USDJPY down 0.2% to 102.50 and EURUSD grinding slightly lower to 1.3543. EM Asia was mostly flat.
