The USD strengthened in Asian open against JPY and EUR. USDJPY has climbed to 104.64 while EURUSD fell slightly to 1.354. AUD and NZD were both more resilient on the day, the latter boosted by a stronger than expected inflation report. NZD gapped 0.8% higher to 0.832 following the release, pushing AUDNZD down to 1.059, just shy of its Friday’s low, EM Asian currencies were mixed, with INR 0.3% stronger to 61.45 but PHP and IDR marginally weaker.
