Polish inflation slightly rose in December …
… to hit 0.9 % on average in 2013
On Wednesday, the Polish statistical office followed its Hungarian peer and released data on December inflation. Unlike in Hungary (where inflation hit its 43- year low), inflation in Poland slightly accelerated and reached +0.7 % Y/Y. As for the structure, we were most surprised by fuel prices rising by 0.4 % M/M (we had expected a moderate decrease). Yesterday’s data shift average inflation rate in Poland to 0.9 %, far below the 2012 outcome of 3.7 %.
