Aussie witnessed a lackluster session today with markets in Australia and New Zealand closed for Boxing Day. Aussie-dollar opened at $0.8925 and slipped early to $0.8908 in light selling. Losses extended later in the morning as aussie-dollar failed to find any supportive bids near $0.8900 and the pair gravitated slowly to reach a $0.8884 low by the late morning. It was last at $0.8889, having found little interest to support a stronger rebound. Ahead, last week’s dip to fresh 2013 lows of $0.8820 sees the Aug 2010 monthly low and falling weekly channel base targeted with a break below then seeingfocus shift lower to tests of the $0.8317 level.
