* With no major data releases, focus will be on the flood of speeches from members of the major central banks. In the US Dudley, Lacker, Tarullo, Evans and Stein are all scheduled to speak today. However, Dudley, Lacker and Tarullo will speak in connection with a conference of orderly resolution of systemic important banks and hence will probably not cover the general outlook for monetary policy in the US. Bank of Japan governor Kuroda and ECB’s Nowotny are also scheduled to speak today.

* Financial markets will probably turn their attention to the ongoing Q3 earnings reporting season. Among others, Morgan Stanley and General Electric will report.
