EUR/USD ANALYSIS

Closed in NY at $1.3063 after posting session highs of $1.3078 earlier in the day. Rate picked up on the Asian open lifting to $1.3077 on renewed threats from Iran of a close of the straits of Homuz which ran crude oil back above $100, but ran into supply at $1.3080. Trade volumes were seen light and the pair was contained in a very tight 15 pip range. EUR/USDr eased to $1.3057 into the European open with the quiet theme set to continue. Lack of market data today with all eyes on the Italian debt auctions, with results due at 10:10 GMT. Offers seen into $1.3080, through to $1.3100, with stronger behind at $1.3120. On the downside reported bids at $1.3020, through to $1.3000. Stronger behind at $1.2980, ahead of $1.2960.
