The AUD/USD traded between $0.8093 and $0.8131 last night in the US and started this morning at $0.8123. Early US dollar gains pushed the aussie down to a low of $0.8106 seen just a few minutes after the release of Australia’s November retail sales data, which were just below forecasts. The dip was temporary and aussie-dollar recovered strongly after that, rebounding to $0.8140 over the following hour. The release of China’s inflation data kept aussie-dollar aloft near $0.8140 before it consolidated briefly at $0.8130. The aussie staged another move higher in the late morning in Asia, climbing back through $0.8140 for a high of $0.8148 so far. Up ahead, there are noted sellers at $0.8150 and aussie-dollar was last at $0.8140 with all eyes now on tonight’s US jobs data.
