The pair started the day at $0.8749 this morning but was largely confined to a $0.8750 to $0.8765 range in the opening few hours. Aussie-dollar continued to hold as the RBA’s Assistant Governor Christopher Kent began is prepared remarks in Adelaide. The pair broke marginally higher to $0.8777 a few minutes after Kent ended his Q&A session without any major comments on policy. Gains continued later in the morning as regional stocks continued to rise as well. Aussie-dollar traded a high of $0.8788 in the late morning and then pulled back in the early afternoon, to last trade at $0.8770. Noted offers are above Friday’s $0.8812 session high, from $0.8820 and then at $0.8840/50, according to market sources.
