The pair opened at $0.9236 this morning, following a $0.9214 to $0.9245 range in the US on Friday and re-visited Friday’s US session high before Japanese stocks started their day, supported by aussie-yen’s move higher to Y94.27 from the earlier Y94.10 low. Aussie-dollar failed to extend the gains and turned back again after that, suggesting sell orders at $0.9250 are still intact, while dealers have also noted some buy-stops sitting above that. Aussie-dollar then tracked aussie-yen as the cross drifted back down to themorning lows, with aussie-dollar sliding back to $0.9230. Aussie-dollar was last at $0.9234, still holding just off the earlier low, with immediate support also seen at the $0.9214 US low, while decent bids are expected toward $0.9200.
