The NZD/USD closed the week at the lower end of recentranges, dipping 0.2% to 0.8550.Friday’s (delayed) ANZ consumer confidence survey wasnot one to trouble the scorers, and it’s difficult to knowwhether the currency market actually noticed. The NZDhardly budged on the news that consumer confidenceslipped 4.4% to 127.6. While the NZ consumer may havebeen miffed by being subject to the first rate hikes in thedeveloped world, the survey is still at a very positive levelrelative to history.
