AUD/USD Analysis

It’s been a fairly lackluster session for the aussie today after it opened at $0.9372. It started with slight move lower as risk sentiment tilted in favor of the US dollar, with aussie-dollar then slipping below $0.9370. The pair edged up again to $0.9373 but was then weighed down further by selling in aussie-yen cross. Aussie-dollar then spent much of the morning tracking that cross as it retreated further to a $0.9361 low and then bouncing to $0.9374. Aussie-dollar headed south again as aussie-yen also resumed its decline but followed up with another bounce to $0.9376. Aussie-dollar was last at $0.9376 with the cross at Y95.46, after a Y95.23 to Y95.57 range this morning. Keysupport remains around the $0.9315 level for the aussie with the 21-day moving average noted just above at $0.9320. Stops are seen below $0.9310 and $0.9300, with a close below likely to see focus shift back to the $0.9203-28 region.
