AUD/USD Analysis

A relatively subdued session for the aussie this morning, with no majro RBA announcements or economic data releases scheduled ahead of the Easter long weekend. Markets in Australia re-open next Tuesday and players have been unwilling to take on fresh positions before the holidays. Aussie-dollar started at $0.9371 and briefly traded a low of $0.9364 before recovering strongly in rather muted flows. Broad dollar weakness helped carry aussie up to the overnight high of $0.9388 initially before it extended the gains through that to $0.9391. The move ran out steam in the face of rumored offers at $0.9400 and aussie-dollar then turned back to consolidate the early move. Through the rest of the morning, aussie-dollar held near $0.9370 as market action slowed event further. Aussie-dollar was last at $0.9376. Stops are noted above $0.9400, $0.9430 and $0.9465 today and on the downside below $0.9330 and $0.9300.
