The New Zealand dollar rallied sharply overnight after the RBNZ showed every intention of delivering rate hikes next year, as previously signalled. Recent NZD strength was acknowledged as a reason to wait, but stronger terms of trade and stronger domestic demand argued in favour of getting a move on.
