AUD: Immediate Outlook Benign
RBA Governor Stevens made full use of last week’s speech to talk down the Australian dollar, and Tuesday’s RBA policy statement will present another opportunity to do so. Rhetoric has its uses, but unless it is backed up by a shift in policy settings or the evolution of events, the effect is usually short-lived.
