The BoJ has raised its growth projection by 0.6 percentage point both for FY2013 and FY2014 to 2.9 and 1.4%, respectively. It does not expect to reach the 2% inflation target before FY2015. It warns the authorities to make progress on regulatory and institutional reforms. However, it plays down the risk related to its own monetary strategy.
