– China PMIs up, but slightly less than expected
– Record Indonesian trade deficit
– Aussie job ads lower again
– Focus today on European and US PMIs and the Eurogroup meeting

What to watch for today

EUR: Another Eurogroup meeting. The Eurogroup finance ministers gather today, but with broad agreement on the next phase of Greece support now reached, there is likely to be less focus on today’s gathering than in recent previous meetings. Markets will be watching for any further details on the planned Greek debt buyback. On the data front, the final manufacturing PMIs for the euro area will be released, with focus on the peripheral economies, which don’t provide preliminary estimates. Our economists expect modest improvement in Italy and Spain, in line with market consensus.
