AUD/USD Analysis

AUD/USD opened at $0.7927 this morning and ran into early weakness thanks to the euro’s sharp declines following the Greek election news. Aussie-dollar traded a low of $0.7855 well before Asian markets got underway but found some support from aussie-yen’s recovery, which came as other yen crosses also rebounded off their respective lows. Aussie-dollar got back up to $0.7905 soon after Asian markets got underway but with Australian markets closed for the Australia Day national holiday, flows were severely limited. Aussie-dollar saw another bounce off $0.7859 and held near there until another mild pullback appeared in the afternoon. It last traded at $0.7882, with reported demand below $0.7850 and $0.7815 providing support for now.
