AUD/USD Analysis

It was a quiet session for the AUD/USD this morning with onshore bonds market observing a shortened Christmas Eve session. The aussie started at $0.8105 before early US dollar declines lifted aussie-dollar up to $0.8117. The pair chopped around between that and it opening levels and then peaked at $0.8124. Aussie-dollar was then pulled down by aussie-yen selling, which followed similar falls in euro-yen, with the aussie then slipping back to $0.8103 in the late morning. A mild rebound was then seen in the afternoon with aussie-dollar last at $0.8112. Layers of minor resistance have accumulated in the $0.8144-0.8203 region with stops noted above $0.8150, $0.8180 and $0.8205 today and on the downside below $0.8075.
