AUD/USD Analysis

The pair started the session today at $0.8709 after it traded between $0.8695 and $0.8737 during the US session last night. It slipped back to an early low of $0.8698 but recovered as stock markets in there region opened higher. The continbued to trade higher to $0.8724 after the release of the RBA minutes but then quickly backed away to around $0.8717 soon after. The pullback turned out to be temporary and aussie-dollar then regained strength for a high of $0.8735 before further exhaustion then set in. Aussie-dollar was last at $0.8724. Above the US high of $0.8737, offers are noted in place from $0.8760/80 and then at $0.8800. Stops are noted above $0.8740 and $0.8800. Immediate focus has returned to the $0.8647 low from Friday with a close below to reconfirm bearish pressure and shift the immediate focus to the $0.8540-87 region where the lower Bollinger band is located.
