JPY opened at Y102.57 this morning while euro-yen started at Y137.66. Early market action saw dollar-yen chop around between Y102.53 and Y102.60 before small opening gains in Japanese stocks triggered a move higher in yen crosses. Euro-yen went up to Y137.72 while dollar-yen also edged up to Y102.63. With little in the way of fresh Japanese data or any speeches from the BOJ, dollar-yen eased again in the mid- to late-morning, trading back to Y102.53/55 while the cross also pulled back from the initial Y137.72 high to Y137.62. Dollar-yen was last at Y102.53 while euro-yen was at Y137.62.Dollar-yen stops are noted above Y102.75 and Y103.10 and on the downside below Y102.30 and Y101.90.
