Dollar-yen opened at Y102.38 this morning while euro-yen opened at Y139.54. Dollar-yen spent most of the morning drifting lower, as the US currency lost ground against most other major FX units. Dollar-yen went to Y102.12 in early dealings where it held for a while before the downmove resumed, Dollar-yen eventually traded a low of Y102.08 while the cross marked a Y139.35 low. Bids from near the US low of Y102.00 kept dollar-yen from dropping further but a close below that Y102.00 level would be seen easing the bullish focus that developed following the triple daily bottom around the Y100.75 level last week. While the Y102.00 level supports initial focus remains on the 21-DMA (Y103.00) as daily tech studies head higher from oversold levels. Dollar-yen last at Y102.17 while euro-yen was at Y139.64
