The RBI has announced measures to dampen speculative positioning interest for a weaker INR. The central bank’s move effectively pushes overnight rates higher as they limit allocations under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) and increase the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate to 10.25% from 8.25%.
