Summer Precautions Necessary
If the UBS FX Flow Report’s volume figures for last week are anything to go by, most investors have left for the summer. In addition, most of what was left on the table reflected a risk-seeking stance. After all, there isn’t much to worry about: Eurozone issues won’t likely resurface before Germany elections, the US is gradually healing and emerging mkts seem to have stabilised. Nonetheless, we still believe in taking extra holiday insurance to cover outstanding long-risk positions.
