BUND ANALYSIS

Bunds and gilts may start mixed or a little higher Monday as investors remain in cautious gear ahead of the meeting between Merkel and Sarkozy amid more concern about the eurozone’s viability.

CRUDE OIL ANALYSIS

Nymex February WTI Crude closed marginally higher on Friday in mixed trading. The contract opened at $101.35 and headed higher in the morning to $102.80 before strong US NFP data led a sharp fall back to $100.88.

Nymex Crude Oil is likely to consolidate with risks skewed to the downside after failing Thursday to break resistance at Wednesday’s nearly eight-month high of $103.74/bbl before settling down $1.41 at $101.81/bbl, Dow Jones technical analysis shows.

Precious metals are trading mixed early in Asian trade, with Gold edging lower. The Gold closed higher Wednesday, despite a stronger USD, as investors were attracted by its safe-harbor allure following reports of European Union countries agreeing in principle to launch an oil embargo on Iran.
