Housing-related lending continues to rise, with loans to investors and owner-occupiers on a solid uptrend. Owneroccupiedlending is now 30% higher (by value) than a year ago and investor lending is up by 34%. Most of those loans areto buy existing dwellings which will continue to impact on dwelling prices nationally. Further price rises are likely, given thepent-up demand from population growth, although the pace should moderate through 2014.
