The RP Data-Rismark series indicates that dwelling prices rose by a solid 1.4% in December. The monthly lift in pricestook annual growth over 2013 to 9.8%. Low interest rates coupled with strong population growth and pent up demand forhousing has contributed to the sizeable lift in house prices over the year. And in a low inflation environment, the real returnto home owners has been considerable in 2013.
