• Registered unemployment increased again
• But slightly less than expected
• Figure no big surprise to Norges Bank
Registered unemployment increased by 500 persons in December. That is slightly less than the trend the previous months and slightly better than forecasted. But it does not change the main picture; registered unemployment increase, but at a rather moderate pace. That is in line with Norges Bank’s view. Norges Bank changed its forecast for 2014 average unemployment rate from 2 ¾ % to 3% in its latest report. The seasonal adjusted rate is now about 2 ¾%.
