The solid lift in jobs over April bettered market expectations which were centred on a modest increase of 8.8k {CBA (f) +9k}.The news is good for the economy and policy makers. Employment has lifted for four consecutive months. Today’s jobfigures support the view that activity in the non-mining economy is picking up and that highly accommodative monetarypolicy is working.
